Saturday 27th of April saw Heyford Village Hall hosting the 2024 Short Mat Mixed Singles competition, starting at 1pm. The event ran smoothly with some closely fought rounds.
Following tea, coffee and home-made cakes at half-time, were the semi-finals. Bob Bates vs. Geoff Groom and Liz Davison vs. Maggie Manning.
Bob Bates went on to win the final against Liz Davison.
Many thanks to all the bowlers who took part and helped with marking, tea making and cake making. A great way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
